Ratherby's Archive (pronounced "Rather be ....")
"Ratherby" was the name of our motorhome. Actually, Ratherby Sailing" was his full name. The name fit because Ratherby would take us "wherever we would rather be" ... Florida, Michigan, Nova Scotia, Mexico, Colorado, etc., etc., etc. Ratherby was a shiny, aluminum, classic and classy Airstream.
We bought Rather in December 1997 -- long before we started sending digital postcards in 2005. A friend said we should have called him "Sir Ratherby" because he was our (k)night in shining armor!
All in all, we spent many, many nights in him and traveled 150,000 miles before we stopped. We sold him on June 27, 2014, to another Airstream lover in Wisconsin.
These HUGcards tell Ratherby's story from December 2005 to April 2014.
I love you, too. Quite a Mother's Day present!! Probably the only one like it in the world. And there's nobody like you in the world either. I'm so lucky to be your Mom. And friend too, I hope.
ReplyDeleteI made a few changes to the words. Typos and such.
